Training Description:

In this training you will walk away with the skills to write a gender-affirming surgery letter, while holding a container to depathologize the process.

Training Objectives:

  • How to write a gender-affirming surgery letter (and receive a template)
  • Gain confidence and tools in leading the session for gender-affirming surgery letters
  • Learn language in addressing the gatekeeping process and focus on prioritizing client’s self-determination

Trainer Bio

I’m Carter Houston (they/he) and I am a white, neurodivergent, queer, trans masculine, non-binary therapist and social worker (LMSW). My practice is grounded in a social justice and anti-oppressive framework not limited by the gender binary. I like to focus on joy and alignment because so often systems want to commodify our pain.
